Airsoft Canada

Getting started

Make your account, set up your profile, and find your way around Airsoft Canada.

Last updated Oct 11, 2026

Airsoft Canada is the home of airsoft across the country: a Marketplace for buying and selling, events from clubs and fields, a Directory of clubs, teams and businesses, the Forum, articles, and resources for new and experienced players. Anyone can look around; an account lets you take part.

1. Make your account

  1. Choose Register at the top of any page.
  2. Enter your full name, a username, your email address and a password of at least 10 characters. Your username is the only name other members see; your full name and email address are never shown.
  3. Accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
  4. Open the email we send you and choose the link to confirm your address. You can sign in once it's confirmed.

If you see Continue with Google, you can use your Google account instead: you'll only be asked to choose a username.

2. Coming from the old Airsoft Canada site?

Your account came across, with your password. Sign in with the same email address or username and password you used before. The first time, a short Welcome screen asks you to accept the new Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If your username was your email address, you'll be asked to choose a new one, since usernames are public.

3. Set up your profile

Go to My account → Edit profile to add an avatar (the round picture beside your username), a larger profile photo, a few words about yourself, your city and province, your Discord name and links to your social accounts. Everything is optional. Your profile is at airsoftcanada.ca/members/your-username.

4. Find your way around

  • Home is the Community feed: what's new from members, clubs and businesses, with new ads, events and articles.
  • Marketplace: airsoft gear for sale and wanted.
  • Events: game days, milsims, speedsoft and more, as a list, a calendar or a map.
  • Directory: clubs, teams, fields, shops and other businesses.
  • Forum: longer discussions by topic.
  • Articles and News and Resources: news, reviews, guides, the laws and calculators.

5. My account

My account (your picture at the top right) is where you manage everything: your ads, events, messages, reviews and settings. If you're part of a club, team or business, the switcher at the top of My account lets you work as yourself or as it. The site remembers which one you chose, and the top of the page shows it.

Common questions

›Is Airsoft Canada free?

Yes, for players, clubs and teams. Businesses can list for free, and paid business plans add more. Members who sell a lot can choose Seller Plus. See Plans, extras and billing.

›How old do I need to be?

At least 13 to have an account, and members under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission. You must be 18 or older to buy or sell airsoft guns in the Marketplace.

›I didn't get the confirmation email.

Check your junk or spam folder first. On the sign-in page you can ask for the email again, using your email address or username (up to 3 times an hour). If it still doesn't arrive, use Contact Us.

›I forgot my password.

Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and enter your email address or username. We'll email you a link to choose a new one.

›Do I sign in with my username or my email?

Either one works, with your password.

›My sign-in is paused. Why?

After 5 wrong passwords in 15 minutes, signing in with a password pauses for 15 minutes to protect your account, and we email you. Wait, or choose Forgot password: setting a new password lifts the pause.

›Why do you ask for my full name if it's never shown?

It stays private on your account. Other members only ever see your username; only Airsoft Canada's administrators can see your full name.

›Can I change my username?

Yes, in My account → Change username, once every 90 days (changing only capital letters, like dave to Dave, any time). Your old name is held for 90 days so nobody else can take it, and your old profile address leads to your new one.

›Why was my username refused?

Usernames that look official are reserved, so nobody can pretend to be Airsoft Canada or its staff: for example names containing Airsoft Canada, or words like admin, support, moderator or official. The box tells you as you type whether a name is free.

›Were my old posts moved from the old site?

Yes: your ads, events, reviews, private messages and Forum discussions came across, and old addresses lead to their new pages. Posts from the old Community feed didn't move.
