Community and the Forum

Post in the feed, start discussions in the Forum, follow what interests you, and keep up with notifications.

Last updated Oct 11, 2026

The Community feed on the home page shows what's happening: posts from members, clubs and businesses, Forum discussions, and new ads, events and articles. The Forum holds longer discussions by topic, kept for others to find later. Anyone can read both; an account lets you take part.

Post in the feed

Write in What's happening in airsoft? at the top of the feed: up to 1,000 characters and 4 photos. Your post shows your province, from your profile, so others can filter by province.

Start a discussion in the Forum

  1. Choose Start a discussion in the Forum.
  2. Give it a title and a topic (such as Tech and Repairs, Gear and Loadouts or Pickup Games), and optionally a province.
  3. Write it with headings, lists, links, pictures and YouTube videos, and add up to 5 tags (gear and brands) so people can find it.

Take part

  • Comment on posts and discussions, and reply to a comment. You can edit or delete your own.
  • React with Like, or choose another reaction.
  • Type @username to mention someone; they'll be told.
  • Follow members, clubs, teams, businesses and Forum topics, then choose Following in the feed to see just them.

Notifications

The bell at the top of the page shows replies, mentions, reactions and new posts from what you follow. A daily email sums up what you haven't seen; turn it off in My account → Notifications.

Every club, team and business also has its own Community space on its page, where anyone can post (unless it's set to its own people only) and its Owners and Managers look after it.

Common questions

›What's the difference between a post and a discussion?

A post is quick and short, like a status update, with photos. A discussion has a title and a topic, goes in the Forum, and is meant to be found and added to over time.

›Why is my post waiting to be checked?

Posts with links from new accounts, and anything with a link made to look like Airsoft Canada's, are checked by an administrator first to stop spam and scams. Once it's let through it appears as usual.

›Can I post as my club or business?

Yes. Switch to it in My account, then post: it shows its logo and name, and its followers are told.

›Who can see what I post?

Everyone, including search engines: the feed and Forum are public. Don't post anything private.

›I can't find the right tag.

Choose Can't find it? Suggest one when adding tags. An administrator adds good suggestions to the list.

›How do I stop the daily email?

Turn it off in My account → Notifications. The bell still shows everything.

›Something breaks the rules.

Choose Report on the post, discussion or comment. Administrators and community moderators look at every report.

›Were the old forum's topics moved?

Yes. The old forum's discussions and replies came across, and their old addresses lead to them.
