Buying and selling

Post an ad, keep it up to date, and buy safely in the Marketplace.

Last updated Oct 11, 2026

The Marketplace is where members and businesses buy and sell airsoft gear. Anyone can browse; you need an account to post an ad or message a seller. Airsoft Canada connects buyers and sellers but isn't part of the sale: payment, shipping and the item are between you.

Post an ad

  1. Choose Post an ad on the Marketplace, or in My account → Marketplace.
  2. Choose For sale or Wanted (looking to buy), and the category that fits best.
  3. Give it a clear title, the condition, the price in Canadian dollars (or tick Free), whether you'll ship, offer pickup or either, and your province and city.
  4. Describe the item honestly. Put payment and shipping details in the description.
  5. Add up to 8 photos of the actual item. Drag them into order (or use the arrows on a phone): the first one, marked Main, is shown in the listings.
  6. Tick that you've read the Marketplace Policy and send it.

Every new ad is checked against the Marketplace Policy before it goes live, usually within moments. My ads shows Being checked, then Live. If it isn't approved, you're emailed the reason and can fix it and send it again.

Look after your ad

  • Edit it any time from My ads. While the change is checked, the live version stays up.
  • An ad is up for 60 days. We email you 3 days before it ends; Renew is free and gives it another 60 days.
  • Mark as sold when it's gone. You'll be asked who bought it, so you can review each other. The ad shows SOLD for 7 days, then leaves the listings.
  • Promote puts your ad back at the top of the newest ads (a bump), or makes it Featured or Top.

Buy

  1. Browse by category down the side, or search, and narrow it down by condition, shipping, province and price.
  2. On an ad, choose Message the seller. Your message is linked to the ad, so the seller knows what you're asking about.
  3. Agree on the price, payment and shipping or pickup in your conversation, and keep it on the site.
  4. Once it's done, review each other. See Reviews.

Common questions

›Why wasn't my ad approved?

The reason is in the email we sent you and on My ads. Edit the ad to fix it and send it again. If you think the check got it wrong, choose Ask a person to look, and an administrator will decide.

›What can't I sell?

Only airsoft is allowed: no BB, pellet or air guns, no paintball, and no real firearms or their parts. Photos must be of the actual item (businesses selling new stock can use product photos), with a real price, in English, and one ad per item. The Marketplace Policy has the details.

›How many ads can I have?

5 active ads (waiting or live) as a member, or 25 with Seller Plus. A business's limit depends on its plan. Sold and deleted ads don't count.

›How long does my ad stay up?

60 days. Renew it for free from My ads, in its last 7 days or any time after it ends, for another 60 days.

›What do Bump, Featured and Top do?

Bump puts your ad back at the top of the newest ads. Featured adds a badge and a blue border for 7 or 30 days. Top shows it first on the first page of its category for 7 or 30 days. Choose Promote on a live ad to see what's available and the prices. Seller Plus and some business plans include some, and take 25% off the rest.

›Does Airsoft Canada handle the payment or shipping?

No. We connect buyers and sellers but aren't part of the sale. Payment, shipping and the item are between the buyer and the seller.

›How do I avoid scams?

Keep your conversation on the site, look at the seller's reviews and profile, and ask for more photos if you're unsure. Be careful with anyone who rushes you, wants to move off the site, or asks you to pay in a way you can't get back. Meet in a public place for pickups. If something seems wrong, choose Report on the ad.

›Do I need to be 18?

Yes, to buy or sell airsoft guns. Buyers and sellers also have to follow the laws on selling, shipping and importing airsoft guns. Our Resources section has a guide to the laws in Canada.

›Can I sell as my business?

Yes. A business's Owners and Managers post ads for it: switch to the business in My account, then post the ad. Clubs and teams can't post ads as themselves, but their members can, as individuals.

›How do I delete an ad?

Choose Delete on My ads. It leaves the Marketplace and your profile straight away. We keep a private copy for 120 days in case of a dispute, then it's deleted for good.

›How do I report an ad?

Choose Report on the ad, and pick a reason: Scam, Not airsoft, Wrong category, Already sold or Other. Administrators look at every report; the seller isn't told who reported it.
