The original Airsoft Canada is indeed unfortunately gone, and all the data it once had. (I hope one day this can be rectified). Best places if you are looking to buy new are BlackBlitz Airsoft, Andy's Airsoft, 007 Airsoft and Spades Tactical off the top of my head. If anything, more fields have died! Siege airsoft, Flag Raiders, Ultimate Paintball, PRZ and Finches field are all gone. You still have Clarington Woods, Wasaga, ALR, Action Air, Urban Ops, DMZ, Niagara Quartermaster, Warsoft Nation, Camp Golf and Option B fields. This is not an exhaustive list, I'm sure I forgot some.
@Java_1JO
Blackblitz is awesome- great selection and staff! As I'm a noob (only a year or so) I play at Warsoft- south of Brantford-about an hour from home in KW- and I love playing there! Literally just think about airsoft all week until I can play! Would be cool if we could get some Milsim's in southern Ontario!

Drone usage at the field should be guided by the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs). Flying too close to people or dropping things from drones is prohibited by the CARs. Drone usage should be prohibited to recon roles only from a vertical height of 30+ meters. Counterdrone measures should also take into account that interfering with aircraft in flight is a violation of CARs. Anything that could possibly cause the drone to crash or otherwise lose control would be out of the picture. The safest rule would be just not to allow them to avoid all the back and forth. However I understand they add an element to gameplay that is realistic to modern combat and interesting for players so I understand the impetus to want them on fields.

I've noticed it too. Even at a basic 8 hour mil-scrim with a meal break in the middle. It seems as though a third of the players disappear in the first 90 minutes. It was never like that 10 years ago.
@oxairtech
I was chatting about this the other day. I know in the South Okanagan of BC, we went from 2 milsims last year to 4 this year. Attendance was down significantly and one event was cancelled due to lack of sign ups. My guess is event fatigue played a part here. Our smaller day events, community days, swap meets, seem to better. Give folks other things to do like a shooting course competition, swap meet, socializing, seems to keep people attentive and locked in to staying a little longer.

Brutal, hopefully they catch those responsible. That is a LOT of high-end items.

Welcome to the forum! In my experience, training days and events/classes usually gather a pretty great turnout. We've had great success here in Ontario when we used to help run and instruct at the Siege Airsoft 101 classes. I find the crowd to be very attentive and receptive to the training if you have good staff and ARSO's to help out individual shooters and keep bullshit to a minimum. I'd get in contact with local fields to you and pitch the idea, they might be able to help you with marketing the training as well through their socials and other channels. Best of luck. I'm a big fan of providing training to improve the quality of the player base, both from the skills side and mentality side.
@asc_admin
@hardk0re I added a Training section yesterday. Might have missed it as its at the bottom. https://airsoftcanada.ca/forum/training/ Please do Register your business, it's free to do so, gets you listed in the Directory and a free Business or Club account lets you post one active event at a time in the events section.

I've been trying to make my gear as light as possible. Been running this knock off HRT belt and loving it. Safariland holster, Esstac angled pistol pouches, and when I run my HPA I have a small carbon 36ci tank in Novritsch pouch. https://i.imgur.com/3XBLI4H.jpeg

How's the quality of the Pew tactical? I haven't seen a lot of their gear out in the wild.

70 views and no other responses/contributions? Very grim... With the help of Maple Armouries, I was able to get an SLR-style rail OEM'd by ZCI for my LCT. Fun fact for anyone else, the gas tube rail will NOT fit without some heavy wacking with a mallet, but once you get it on its solid. I will also point out that once both halves of the rail system are screwed together, there is a small gap between the handguard and the end of the receiver. However, once everything is tightened down, its a rock solid rail with no movement.

Hello from Ottawa! I've just rejoined myself, I used to have an account on the old ASC back when I was a teen. 18 then so... 2007? I'm sad to see the old forum gone, there's a wealth of knowledge we'll never get back, but I'm glad to see something new in its place.
@Zot
Hey, I was sad to see the old ASC disappear but I happen to do a search and found this new reincarnation

Yes. Disabled veteran here. Mobility and mental issues for me. Sadly, my solution to both problems is a handful of pills. At 46, people are shocked at how fast I can move, but the following two days are a pain-ridden write-off. Play to your level, dip when you have to.
@Zot
There was a guy who was in a bad motorcycle accident who used to play at Hill437 in Ontario (that field is gone now) but he was unable to walk more than a few feet at a time and unable to do hard terrain. He had an ATV that he made a modified pintle mount for a SAW and he added a red fire truck beacon light that he could turn on when he was hit and he would ride around and lay down support/suppressive fire. Another guy I used to see a bunch at ultimate Airsoft had MS and played with 2 crutches in order to move - he had to flop onto the floor in order to shoot his gun properly. both seemed to have a good time within the limits they had and made something work fields and other players accommodated

Unfortunately the old forum dissolved without a trace. There were some chats on trying to recover it, but it never went anywhere. We made the call to start up this platform in an attempt to rebuild. We also launched https://airsoftcanada.ca/marketplace which is a dedicated airsoft buy and sell section. It was originally a full different site, but we've recently migrated the classifieds section into Airsoft Canada to make it easier for our community by only having to maintain a single login, and a single source of reviews and ratings.
@Ayashifx55
Thank you! I tried searching for more info before asking

Keep playing as long as the knees are holding you up. :) There is a club/team account option too. If Mad Nation creates an account as a team they can post events and have a dedicated profile page. Welcome.
@Kswedburg
Played my first time in Calgary at the old 007 location last summer. Seemed like an awesome location. I was sad to hear that they had to relocate and lose that huge indoor field. Any word on plans to open a new indoor field? I'm not from Calg but my wife's family is so we are there often.
