Hi from the Okanagan, B.C.

<span;><span;>Hi all! I started playing paintball back in the 1980's in B.C., & have just been playing airsoft the last few years, at a few different fields around the Okanagan. I wish I'd done it sooner!

<span;>I miss a few things about (military-style) paintball, but definitely NOT the spending hours after every gameday washing paint out of goggle lenses, mask, gun outer & internals, clothing, belt, webbing, pouches, my hair & skin...

Holy cow, a true veteran. Welcome! What play styles do you enjoy the most in Airsoft? Skirmishes, Milsims, (please don't say speedsoft)

@gmds Well, I wasn't playing continuously that whole time - I took a 15 year break when my kids were little, & only sporadically after that. When I started & played a lot, everyone was wearing military surplus gear, and it was even in the days when they used red paint! After I stopped playing is when speed-ball & the bright coloured sports uniforms & gear came in. That part just never appealed to me (but I can see where the speed-ball would really hone your skills!) When mag-fed/milsim paintball started to get popular is when I started to get interested enough to go play again. When I found out that airsoft existed, I could see the appeal, but wondered what sort of range & other differences there would be. I wish I'd jumped in sooner!
