I have an arcturus lite mur mod b (at-ny02-cq). It doesn't have a mosfet but does have an electronic trigger unit. I originally got a 7.4 lithium ion battery but it seemed sluggish and wasn't firing consistently. I got an 11.1 lipo and it seems to work well. The store I got it from said to use an 11.1 lipo so will it be okay since it has an ETU but no mosfet?

Yup that's correct info. An ETU is essentially a really basic Mosfet. Original "Analog" triggers are just pieces of copper that touch each other when the trigger is pulled. Not great for 11.1v as that's a lot of power and current would cause arcs and degrade the metal as the full current of the battery had to pass thru those small pieces of metal first to get to the motor. New ETU or digital triggers are an electronic switch, so when you pull the trigger a much smaller signal is sent from the trigger to a switch/relay that directs power from the battery to motor. Much more efficient. ETU's are just really basic Mosfets and just provide a signal to fire. More advanced Mosfets have all sorts of controls to set burst fire, engine braking, etc.

So I played my second game last night with this same gun and had an 11.1 lipo in. It started doing something similar - would not do anything on semi but would reset when I switched to full auto. When I switched back to semi it started doing 3 round bursts! I put the 7.4 lithium ion back in and it sort of worked if I was slow on the trigger but still would go dead throughout the night. It would reset and start working again when I put it on full auto but was super frustrating.
